Do you want to learn French in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere?
If you have a basic knowledge of French, but lack the confidence and the opportunity to speak, then this course is for you. Even though grammatical rules are presented, the focus is on oral language. To speed up the process, resources are offered and homework is encouraged. Just like learning an instrument, 'a little bit every day' can go a long way; so daily practice is strongly recommended! The fall session (starting in September) and the winter one (starting in January) include 10 lessons of 2 hours each. They are conveniently offered at the Senior Centre on Tuesday morning, from 9:00 to 11:00. Sometimes, a third session, a little shorter, is available before summer.
Lise Boily, the instructor, born and raised in Quebec, has over 30 years experience in teaching French as a second language and aims at making the whole experience fun and useful. Her goal is to encourage all participants to speak as much as possible in a social and laid-back format.
Why don't you try it ? You might be surprised of how much you know already and how much rewarding it can be!
