SILVER STARS DRAMA CLUB
26 Silver Stars Drama Club members performed in two very successful shows in June, singing in 16 songs taken from some of the most famous broadway shows. We had a great turnout with close to 100 people attending each show! I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who came to these shows and showed their support for their friends !
The Silver Stars will be getting together again to provide an exciting hour of comedy ! This will be held at the Seniors Centre on Sunday, December 5 from 2pm to 3pm. Mark this date on your calendar - you'll be glad you did !! More details at a later date.
The purpose of our Seniors Theatre is to allow seniors to enjoy and express themselves creatively. To expose them to the rewards and stimulation of drama; to discover the importance of participating in a group, creating, improving memory, developing self confidence, and to show leadership and co-operation with others through dramatics!
Would YOU like to be a part of this creative group of seniors? Many of our seniors started by handing out programs then moved on to perform on the stage. You probably have a skill that you didn't think could possibly be used doing theatre work. Do you enjoy fixing things, visiting flea markets and working with your hands? You'd make a perfect props master. Are you schedule oriented? Stage management! Perhaps you love to sew and would enjoy making costumes?
The rewards are many! Be a part of our Seniors Theatre.
