Every Tuesday morning from 9:30 am until noon hour, a group of seniors gather at the Aurora Seniors Centre to draw and paint and learn new skills.
In 1995 as the culmination of the year's work, the Seniors held their first Art Show and Sale at the Seniors Centre and it has been held every year since then.
Another 'first' occurred in 2001 when the town agreed to purchase a painting from the "Historic Aurora, Our Kind of Town" category for the permanent collection and a purchase has been made annually since then. The selected paintings may be seen in the Seniors Centre.
