Billiards Room
Aurora Seniors Centre

We have a fine Billiards room in the Seniors' centre (open whenever the centre is open) with four tables. Two of these are for the games of snooker or billiards, and are full size 12 foot competition tables. One is a smaller 9 foot snooker table, which is just right for beginners, and the remaining table is a competition size 9 foot "pool" table for 8 or 9 ball. The room is used by a friendly crowd, and new members are made welcome. There is plenty of opportunity to come in and have a game, or to learn the game if you are a beginner.
We have a few volunteers who would introduce you to the existing players, and you would soon be one of the crowd.

Come in and sit down, and take a look around our billiards room, and then speak to someone there and let them know if you would like to learn or join a game. Alternatively, speak to the Senior's Coordinator, Karie Papillon (whose office is right next door to the billiards room). Karie can put you in touch by phone with one of several volunteers who can introduce you to the game. Yes, it is mostly men who use the room, but there are a few women who play, and there could be lots more! Cues are available, or bring your own.
