Seniors Centre Reopening Update

The Aurora Seniors Association is excited to have the Aurora Seniors Centre reopening. We are still taking a cautious approach in reopening to ensure our volunteers and members feel safe coming into an activity at the Centre. for the month of March 2022, the following safety measures remain in affect:

1. Proof of Full Covid-19 Vaccination.

Covid-19 Mandatory Vaccination Policy

The decision to receive the Covid-19 vaccine is an individual decision therefore we will continue to offer virtual activities for those who cannot or choose not to be vaccinated.

We also acknowledge the privacy concerns some of our members have with sharing their health information. Members wishing to participate in, in person activities will be asked to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination but the ASA will not retain a copy of their document. This proof of vaccination will be a one-time requirement. Please click the link below if you require instructions or assistance to obtain your vaccination receipt.

2. Covid-19 Liability Waiver

The ASA Board of Directors requires anyone coming to in person activities to sign a ASA Covid-19 Liability Waiver.  Please click the link below to see the waiver.

The Covid-19 Liability Waiver provides important legal protection for each of our members and is only required once.

Please bring a signed copy with you to your first activity at the Centre. Printed copies are available between the double doors of the Aurora Seniors Centre.

3. ASA Covid-19 Screening

All members and participants will be passively screened at the Seniors Centre. Please review the posted questions at the Front Door entrance and proceed to enter the Centre if you answer No to all Screening questions.

Everyone at the Aurora Seniors Association is looking forward to getting back to the Centre and socializing with our friends. All of the above requirements are meant to make us feel safer and more comfortable when we return. Aurora Seniors Centre

The Aurora Seniors Centre is operated in partnership with the Town of Aurora's Community Services Department. Its success is based on the Seniors who volunteer their time and Town of Aurora staff. Our goal is to provide programs, events and activities that will benefit and enrich the lives of older adults.
